I'm Polina

I work at the intersection of AI, psychology, and product thinking.

I used to design products. Now I work in AI — evaluating models, leading QA projects, and exploring how people and technology shape each other.

My background is a mix of psychology, UX research, product design, and applied AI ethics. I care about clarity, responsibility, and building things that genuinely help people.

Breaking news credibility assessment for AI & Democracy Hackaton

I was invited to participate in an AI and Democracy hackathon held by the German Marshall Fund and Rockefeller Foundation in November in Mexico City. I contributed as a product designer and product manager on a team with fact-checkers, journalists, tech and AI consultants, and democracy activists. Our team was tasked with developing a service focused on data provenance and source traceability. During an intense one-day hackathon, we developed a proof of concept for a service that can check breaking news trustworthiness in real-time.

Co.lab - redesign of the portfolio page for the program graduates

Led the user experience and interface redesign for the portfolio page for the program graduates. Conducted comprehensive user research and stakeholder interviews to define project goals and identify pain points. Designed intuitive wireframes and interactive prototypes focused on enhancing usability and visual appeal.

As the lead designer on a team that successfully delivered a viable MVP within tight time constraints, I conducted user research, crafted the UX, and created engaging content, adapting designs to ensure feasibility and meeting project goals despite technical limitations.

Led user research to inform a mobile-first website design that effectively communicates the exclusivity of a photographer's services. Partnered with branding and marketing to seamlessly integrate brand elements and marketing messaging, ensuring a cohesive and impactful user experience.
